Set out the right materials

Choose a bright, clean surface and gather the tips, the matching adhesive, preparation materials and the appropriate removal products. Read the instructions before starting. You should know how the set will be removed before applying it. A small tray is useful for keeping tiny accessories together and checking what is included.

Complete a dry fitting

Check the size and finger order without using adhesive. Arrange the pieces as a left-hand set and a right-hand set, and consider whether the length suits your plans. If the product permits a small adjustment, do it at this stage using the recommended tool. Repeated pressure or filing after application is not a substitute for selecting a suitable fit.

Follow the actual adhesive instructions

Tabs and liquid adhesives should not be treated as interchangeable products. Follow the supplied directions for preparation, application and any waiting period. Wear experience varies with the material and your routine. Another person’s result is not a fixed performance promise, and a demonstration photograph cannot establish the instructions for your specific product.

Plan removal and storage as part of the ritual

Allow time for the recommended removal process and avoid pulling or prying. Once the pieces are clean and fully dry, return suitable tips to a clean box in finger order. Inspect edges and decorative elements again before another application. If a piece is damaged, ask the supplier about replacements rather than assuming the complete set is still suitable to wear.
